I cannot believe that two months have passed already. Where is the time going? However, I must say that every day is better than the last. She is more and more alert and it is amazing to see her learning and growing right before our eyes. At her 8 week checkup she weighed 9 pounds 1 ounce and we cried together when she got her first set of vaccinations :( They shouldn't even let moms go to that appointment. Pure torture. But she (I haven't) recovered from that and is doing great.
Month two accomplishments--according to Mom & Dad
*We officially have SMILES! That big gummy grin makes your day and melts your heart.
*She is so strong and holding her head up even more!
*She is focusing on us and is even starting to mimic some of our actions like sticking out her tongue and cooing. She also does "thumbs up" which I swear we taught her and we totally think is because she's gotta be the smartest girl ever!
*One night she slept 7 hours straight. It never happened before so of course I slept for none of it. I was anticipating her waking up at any moment and what do you know, after her 7 hour snooze she finally did. But since that night she's been doing pretty good 6 hour stretches so we are happy about that!
*Little mama even started burping on her own sometimes. Awesome!
*Aannndd we went on our very first "real" outing to our (my) favorite store...Target!!
