Merry Christmas from the Khoury's

Christmas has come and gone and it is still almost 80 degrees in San Diego. Nevertheless, we still dressed Giuliana up in every festive outfit we had. She dressed in her I Believe outfit Christmas Eve, was Santa's little helper on Christmas morning, and then rocked an I love Christmas onesie complete with a red tutu for dinner. Adorbs. There was tons of food--homemade raviolis is our family tradition--, games and gifts (most of them for Lil G of course). Now I must go and reorganize her closet :)

Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

Precious Pictures & Updates

Our Giuliana is getting so big! Time is flying. Christmas is 6 days away and baby girl is 3 and a half months old. The days seem so short, and the weeks are slipping away before we know it. We have also hit a little sleep regression in Giuliana's daily routine. She went from sleeping pretty solid from 9pm to 5am, but a couple weeks ago that all changed. She has been waking multiple times a night and has trouble getting to sleep initially whereas she used to fall right asleep as soon as we put her in the crib. After lots of reading and researching, it appears this is all normal and these few weeks are attributed to leaps in her development. There's also many more to come this year. More coffee please! Makes sense when you read about it, but boy is it discouraging when you think you're on the upward swing of sleeping through the night! We've also noticed that she has been pretty wet at night and sometimes even soaking through her diaper. We've tried a size bigger at night but that hasn't seemed to do the trick. Any suggestions?! Other than this little hiccup lately, life is pretty darn good! She is full on laughing which is the most adorable thing ever, and she also learned that she can make fun sounds with the help of her daddy. Watch some adorable videos below.

Here is our baby tree for our baby G. Next year we will have a normal size, fully decorated ensemble but Christmas came so quickly this year we didn't have a chance to decorate as we would have liked.

She's watching Christmas Vacation!

Santa Baby

'Tis the season! We took Giuliana to meet Santa yesterday and were so excited to dress her in one of the many Christmas outfits we have for her. I wanted to capture the classic screaming child photo, but she was pretty mellow the whole time. Maybe next year :) Nonetheless she looked as cute as ever! Can you believe Christmas is only 10 days away!?

Month Three Favorites

Month 3 has come and gone, but as always here are some of our favorite things!

1.BOB SE Revolution Stroller Hell yes, this thing rocks! Although it is a bit heavy, it is awesome for our walks. It is so smooth and easy to maneuver…I just love it!

2.Boppy Pillow A must have. We love to lay her on this on our laps and play with her and also use it for tummy time. It is great for propping her up just enough to see us, but its also comfortable for her if she starts to doze off.

3.Elf on a Shelf My parents recently bought this for her and I had never read the story before this. It is adorable! Her name is Sophia (just for you Dad!) and she has found perfect spots to sit in Giuliana’s room. I can’t wait for her to understand it and get excited about it when she is older.

4.Britax Car Mirror This thing is perfect for keeping an eye on your little one while you’re driving. It is also great because Giuliana will stare at herself now and keep herself entertained.

5.Closet Dividers Absolutely needed when you have mass amounts of baby clothes and a mom with a shopping problem. I have been stocking up on clothes for her in bigger sizes and these dividers are perfect for keeping everything (and me) organized.

6.Blankets & Beyond Swaddle Wrap For the chilly nights we have been having, this is perfect for wrapping her up and keeping her warm.

Cugina Night

This is way late but nonetheless, Giuliana achieved yet another milestone at her mere 11 weeks (13 now!). She attended her very first Cugina night. Cugina (coo-gee-na) means female cousin in Italian. The lady cousins in my Italian family have Cugina nights where the girls get together for food, wine, and chit chat. She thoroughly enjoyed herself and was loved on even more than the bottles of wine. Here are some pictures of our night at Auntie Andrea's house.

The aunts...Auntie Kathy, Auntie Margaret & Auntie Lovey

There's me of course with my wine. And obviously what is a Cugina Night without wine...
in your diaper bag?

And then of course you have these two...Auntie Charline & Auntie Andrea trying to get Giuliana to smell and eat the pizza

What a great night! Giuliana is definitely the most popular (honorary) Cugina in the group!

Three Months Old!

Ok this month has definitely flown by like I cannot believe. Is Christmas really two and a half weeks away?  Between going back to work, getting ready for the holidays and having Karl's family in town, our little G's 3 month birthday has really crept up on us. She has developed so much and is now starting to show us more and more of her personality. She's been so much fun with her smiling and cooing and even making a nice daily routine for herself. Every day we find ourselves more and more in love with her.

Month three accomplishments--according to Mom & Dad

*Holding her pacifier in her mouth and even using her arms to catch it from falling sometimes. So smart, and coordinated.

*Sitting up in her Bumbo seat like a big girl!

*Sleeping 7-8 hours a night, woo hoo!!

*Laughing out loud...its the cutest thing. can't wait for belly laughs!

*She's discovered the TV and when we try to shield her from watching it, she will try and move whatever it is you have in front of her so she can see it.

Happy 3 month birthday to our little Giuliana!
