Life Lately

As usual, the weeks are flying by faster than I can upload pictures to the computer! Just as we were looking forward to another summer weekend, Giuliana has come down with a cold! :( Nothing worse than seeing your baby girl struggling to breathe because her nose is stuffed up, or throwing up her entire bottle immediately after finishing it. Ugh. Hoping this passes quickly and does not return for a looooong time. 

In other news, last weekend was pretty exciting. My parents took G to get her first pair of real shoes at Stride Rite! Hopefully these bad boys help Giuliana to stand flat on her feet instead of on her tippy toes! It's scary to think that soon enough she will be walking! We also had to get frozen yogurt and someone LOVED the watermelon flavor.

 

Father's Day was also a nice day last weekend! The weather was gorgeous and who wouldn't love to spend the day with these two?! Two of the best dad's I know right here :) Fun fact: My dad and Karl have the same birthday! Seriously, what are the odds?

 

Wow's & Straws

So we went to the doctor yesterday for Giuliana's 9 month well baby check up and it looks like baby girl is right on track! She weighed in at 18 pounds and is almost 28 inches long. She is in the 50th percentile for height, weight, and head circumference. She also did not stop talking the whole time. The doctor and nurse were so impressed with her perfection of the word "wow." It is pretty impressive, I must say. She's also fully mastered drinking out of a straw so she is one happy girl when she sees her new sippy cup! Baby G is a happy, healthy girl!

Nine Month's Old!

Here we are again...another month has come and gone! Our Giuliana is 9 month's old today and more fun than ever. She is so happy and bubbly all the time and her curiosity is constantly apparent. She wants to know what is going on around her at all times. Karl and I are having so much fun with her these days. She definitely keeps us on our toes but she never ceases to amaze us each and every day.

Month 9 Accomplishments...According to Mom & Dad

*Giuliana is crawling everywhere and has most recently started CLIMBING THE STAIRS. Oh yes, you read this correctly. Talk about not turning your back for one second, its more like don't blink. Ever. 

*She is starting her first vocabulary words. So far she says Dada, yeah, wow, and we're still working on perfecting Mama. Why is that one so hard?!

*She is still loving all of her foods and I think she will be so very excited to start some little finger foods soon.

*She still only has two teeth but we are thinking the top ones are coming in soon. 

*She loves Baby Einstein videos! As soon as they come on she is immediately captivated. The 30 minute videos are a life saver for both of us!

Overall, she is the sweetest, happiest baby girl and we can't get enough! Photo shoots are so difficult these days because she doesn't ever want to sit still, but we did our best :)

Our (last) Weekend in Pictures

Once again, I'm so behind. I promise to be better in the near future since our girl is growing so so fast! Today marks 9 amazing months with Giuliana, but more on that in another post :) For now, here are some pictures from our last weekend, celebrating my birthday!

 I finally got to put her in her gold moccasins and they are the cutest ever! How snazzy is her birthday outfit?!

 And of course, a morning run to Target...she's loving her Ergo baby carrier more these days which is great for me when I just need to run in to a store for a few things. She loves Target just as much as her mama :)
