Our Weekend in Pictures

I am so very behind on posting updates lately! My apologies. We have been busy running around with this crazy girl! She is on the go go go these days! We have also been spending a lot of time in the pool since she loves the water. Over the Memorial Day weekend, we really did our best to enjoy every moment. Lots of pool time, family time, sand, walks at the bay, good food and friends!

The pool and sun really wear her out (surprise) so I can tell we are in for a fun summer! She's got tons of cute bathing suits and pool/beach outfits and I can't wait for all of the wardrobe changes.

She is fascinated by the sand and loved watching all of the kids playing at Mission Bay.

Oh man was this girl wiped out! So much fun for one day she just had to rest her eyes.

Ramblings of an 8 Month Old

Giuliana is more and more vocal and vibrant every day! This girl loves to chat it up at any time, whether or not someone or something is around. It is so fun to watch her entertain herself or get so excited about nothing in particular. She has found her voice and she isn't afraid to use it! Speaking of, she has nailed down the word Dada and is starting to work on saying Mama. I cannot wait!

She is still exploring all over the house, pulling herself up on everything possible. She can't wait to walk, or run, for that matter. She is loving all of her walks around the bay and neighborhood and especially pool time. She takes in all of her new surroundings and it is amazing to see the curiosity in her face.

Enjoy a couple of videos and pictures of our entertaining girl recently!

Eight Months Old!

Another month has flown by! Our sweet Giuliana is 8 months old and quite the busy girl. She quickly went from sitting up on her own, to crawling, to speed crawling and now she is at the stage where she can pull herself up on just about anything. It is extremely impressive and terrifying all at the same time. It literally seems like it happened overnight. She is all over the house and curious as ever with her new found mobility. She now greets us in the morning by standing in the corner of her crib waiting for us. This girl will be crawling out of that thing in no time so stay tuned for that story. We also finally started to baby proof (as best we could) and put up a gate at the top of our stairs. I could see her eyes light up immediately, knowing it was going to be another challenge for her that she would soon conquer. She uses the gate as a pull up bar, then loves to turn around and smile at us. Look at me mom and dad! Changing diapers has also been a new challenge since she never wants to sit still! She does about two thousand flips and rolls by the time it's all said and done. All in all, this has been a really fun age because she has changed and developed so much in such a short period of time. She's a happy, playful, fun girl and we can't get enough of her!

8 Month Accomplishments--According to Mom & Dad

*Giuliana could compete for world's fastest crawler! Go grab a water bottle out of the refrigerator, but don't be surprised to see her at your feet.

*The couch, ottoman, wine fridge, sliding glass door, visitors, are all fair game for assisting her in standing up. However, she forgets sometimes that she can't stand on her own because she will turn around and let go before she realizes she's not being held up by anything anymore.

*Her second tooth is making its way in! I can already see its poking through, so hopefully this teething experience won't be as bad as the first one.

*She still has not found one food she dislikes...but that's no surprise :)

*Giuliana loves the pool! She likes to kick her feet and splash the water around with her hands. Bathing suit and pool toy shopping we go!

Happy 8 month birthday to our Giuliana!!

Our Weekend in Pictures

I could not wait for this past weekend to come and spend time with my family! I had been out of town for work all week and was anxiously counting the minutes until I would see my little G again! I arrived back in town on Friday and planted five thousand kisses on Giuliana's face. I had missed her so so much! And of course the weather here in San Diego was HOT, so after tons of snuggles, on Saturday Karl and I took Giuliana down to the bay where we had a picnic and enjoyed the sunshine. It was so beautiful down there. When he had to go to work, I took Giuliana to my parents house since they have air conditioning and a pool. It was still so hot so we cooled off by putting our feet in. G loved it and was pretty much diving off the edge to get in. She couldn't get enough, so the next day I brought her back and she splashed around for a while. I know where you will be finding us this summer!
